Joshua Driesman (Khoury ’19) spent his time at Northeastern taking advantage of every opportunity available to him. Now that he is embarking on a new journey, he found himself reflecting on all that he has learned through all his experiences at Northeastern, as well as the ways in which he has grown as a person. He is just now recognizing how much growth he’s undergone at Northeastern, despite how quick he says his time here felt. SAIL has played an incredibly important role in his reflection process which gave him the ability to look back on not only all of the classes he’s taken and the professors he’s had, but also all of the clubs he’s been involved in, all the places he’s gone around the world, and everything that he’s learned in the process. He has enjoyed being able to reflect on his experiences and his progression, but notes how much he wishes he could have had SAIL from the beginning. As he says, “4 or 5 years goes by really quickly, and so being able to capture your experiences from semester to semester, or even week to week, is really valuable for self reflection.” He urges all current students to begin to use SAIL to reflect as early and often as they can.
