When we teach the knowledge and skills of our disciplines, we are also helping students make meaning of our disciplines in their own lives and for contexts beyond our courses. In this two-day intensive, brainstorm and explore how skills in the SAIL framework not only complement the disciplinary knowledge we teach, but also help prepare students to make this disciplinary knowledge meaningful and actionable in new contexts. Come away with activities, assignments, and teaching strategies leveraging SAIL that you have developed for your own course and workshopped with your colleagues.
Please note that participants are required to register and attend both Day 1 and Day 2. Attendees must register separately for both days via Eventbrite.
